Mountain in My Mind returns with their third annual ski film about mental health in the mountains, Mountain in My Mind 3! The crew, which features New Zealand Olympian Benni Harrington, street skier Brennan McClean, halfpipe and slopestyle skier Connie Brogden, and former freestyle mogul skier Lexi Wright in addition to interviews from Teton County Search and Rescue, Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrollers, and more. The crew also expanded its production and editing team and added the esteemed editor and drone pilot, Ben Kaden.
The film gathers a variety of industry insiders’ takes on topics such as suicide, depression, anxiety, addiction, substance abuse, trauma, first responder trauma, survivors guilt, therapy, and much more. The film aims to provide viewers with advice for handling life’s toughest moments with a special lens of mountain and snowsports enthusiasts. The crew got together in the remote town of Cooke City, Montana and shared a cabin for 10 days. They used sleds to access some of the best terrain Montana has to offer and the film features pow skiing, backcountry jumps, backcountry freeride, halfpipe, street, and resort skiing at Grand Targhee and Mammoth.
The crew’s third film makes another international tour during suicide prevention month in September of 2024. All tour profits are donated to local suicide prevention organizations. They will be giving away a 2023 SkiDoo Summit 850 snowmobile as a Grand Prize across the tour, complete with a PowTech MFG ski rack! All live premieres will also have a giveaway for skis, outerwear, goggles, sunglasses, poles, and more swag.
