Exactly one month ago, we teamed up with our friends at Momentum to launch the What Gets You Through Summer Contest. The premise was simple... Show us a photo of what you do to pass the time during the summer months when you can't ski for your chance to win an an iPod Shuffle and a pair of Skullcandy/Momentum headphones.

66 people entered, and then you, the Newschoolers community, voted for your favorites. Once it was narrowed down to the top 5 highest rated entries, the Momentum and Newschoolers staff then got together and picked their favorite one. So without further ado, here's the winner of the Momentum/Newschoolers What Gets You Through Summer Contest...

And before you scroll past the rest of this article to post 'first!', we've got some more exciting news to announce. Beginning today, we're teaming up with Momentum once again along with the good people at Oakley to launch yet another fun and summer-themed contest, and this one is a real doozie...

When the sun is shining bright on the ski hill, something magical happens, as we are blessed with bronzed and beautiful goggle tans. So everyone at Momentum, Oakley and Newschoolers wants to see yours!

Upload a photo of your best google tan to the Momentum/Oakley Goggle Tan Contest page right here on Newschoolers before Sunday, July 17th at 9pm PST/Midnight EST. Once the deadline for entries has passed, public voting will open for one week until Sunday, July 24th at 9pm PST/Midnight EST, where just like in the previous contest, we want you, the Newschoolers community, to determine the top 5. Once they've been decided, staff members from Momentum, Oakley and Newschoolers will check them out, admire their tans, and pick the winner. The winner will then be announced on Monday, July 25th (or shortly thereafter), and will receive a pair of Oakley Splices signed by Simon Dumont! (colors may vary)
