Local Alpine Meadows ripper Mike Vaughn placed 11th at the U.S. Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte this weekend.  This is a very impressive finish for Mike as he was up against many of the finest competition skiers in the world.  This was the first of several competition stops for Mike this year, and a certainly a notable start to his competition season.  Congratulations Mike!  Hopefully we get to shred some more powder here at Alpine Meadows soon.
