Kristi, sent us through this report of the weekend;
I met contest winner Andrew Camp at the Mammoth Mt. Inn on Saturday morning. He was ready to go! After getting a few things sorted. We hit the slopes. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse from the last few days. We had 50 mph wind gusts in Main Park. I drastic change from the past few days. It didn’t stop Andrew, in fact I don’t think it slowed him a beat. Andrew went for it from his first run until his last. He is a charger, and he definitely impressed me. That night we went to watch the West Coast Invitational. It’s a big snowboard rail jam that Mammoth puts on in the Village each year. I made sure Andrew and his buddy Matt had all access passes. We had a great night. I had the chance to introduce Andrew to several other pro skiers. The next day the weather changed even more. May 8th I woke up to 4 inches of snow in town, and the wind was howling. Change of plans… It’s time to go Mt. Biking. We picked up some demo bikes and I took them down to a well known spot named Rock Creek. It’s about a 20 minute drive south of Mammoth. It was 60 and sunny instead of 28 and snowing. We had a great afternoon, and I really hope I helped make it a trip to remember for Andrew!
