The second in our King Of The Park contest series for 2021, and our very first Queen Of The Park contest, will be going down at Sunshine Village over the next couple of weeks. Sunshine is one of Newschoolers' favorite resorts. A place to cruise some park laps, slide some weird and wonderful rails, and also hit some fun terrain around the resort. The park crew crushes it and we're stoked to also head out there for our very first Newschoolers ski test in a couple of weeks. And while there aren't a ton of contests going down right now, this one gives Sunshine locals and visitors alike to enjoy the park and win big while they do. We're stoked that Sunshine has teamed up with us to give you a chance to take home some $$ for your ski stunt-ery.
We're asking you to show us your best 3 tricks from the awesome parks Sunshine Village has to offer. The contest opens Wednesday (3/17) and you have two weeks to stack your clips and get them submitted (deadline midnight, 3/28). Only shots from this season will be accepted. The two winners (one male and one female) will be announced Monday 4/5 and take home a cool $1000 each. The rules are simple:

Rules:
1) Submit your best three (3) tricks filmed at Banff Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort, with recognizable landmarks identifying Banff Sunshine.
2) You may edit together multiple different clips (your run doesn’t need to be continuous). Entries can only be a maximum of one minute long!
3) Multiple angles may be used, but at least one clip of each trick must show the full trick from takeoff to landing.
4) Only raw audio files may be used. No music or sound effects allowed. The contest has two stages, the first for submitting entries, and the second for voting and judging.

Deadlines:
Stage One: Entering the contest: From the contest opening date on March 17, 2021 at 12:01 AM MST to Mar 28, 2021 at 11:59 PM MST.
Stage Two: Voting and Judging: Mar 29, 2021 at 12:01 AM MST to the contest closing date on April 4, 2021 at 11:59 PM MST.
The Newschoolers Judges will judge submissions based on the following criteria: 25% on Creativity of the Video, 25% on Public Voting, 50% on Judges’ Overall Impression of the Video.

Prizes:
$1000.00 (CDN) each to the winners (the King and Queen of the Park), plus an invitation to the King and Queen to join the Banff Sunshine Village Rider Team for the remainder of the current winter season (Adult Season Passes valued at up to $1425 CDN + GST, additional restrictions apply).

Eligibility:
To enter this contest, you must be the age of majority in your home province at the time of your submission and be a legal resident of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec).
