Are you an up and coming freeskier with a dream to make it in the big leagues? Have you got the skills, but just can’t pay the bills? Then the Fischer Rookie Scout might be just the break that you have been looking for. A video contest due to start at the beginning of March, the Fischer Rookie Scout is all about finding young freeski talent on the internet and supporting those who really deserve it.

If this description has tickled your fancy, then you might be just the person we are looking for. If you want to take part simply get out amongst the snow, force your friends to film you or strap on a helmet cam and start filming yourself shred. Create a video edit with all the best footage of you skiing your heart out and being awesome, upload it onto vimeo or youtube and submit the link to the Rookie Scout App on the Fischer Sports Facebook page. The competition is open to all types of freeskiers from Europe and North America, so whether you are a freerider, park rat, pipe shredder or urban assassin, get out there and start filming.

Submissions start on March 8th, after which there will be a month long period where the videos can be viewed, shared, voted on and liked by the public. On April 15th the 20 most liked videos will be judged by a jury consisting of the Fischer freeride team manager Sandra Lahnsteiner, the Fischer freestyle team manager Basti Huber, as well as Fischer pro team members like Sven Kueenle and Joss Christensen. Out of those 20 finalists the jury will choose five skiers who will join the 2013/14 Fischer Freeski team and get hooked up with all sorts of Fischer gear and will be starring in next season‘s Team Movie.
