Faction Skis today announced a new limited pro graphic for freeski prodigy (ha), Matej Švancer. The Austrian styler took home gold at the first big air of the season last week in Chur and his pro ski comes hot on the heels of that. Matej brought hometown energy to the design process, drawing inspiration from his local landmark, the medieval castle Burg Kaprun. The skis will sport unique graphics designed by Matej himself.

Matej explains, “I live in a small village, Kaprun, in the mountains, and the castle ‘Burg Kaprun’ is a dominance of the region. It’s a place where different events take place—it’s a center of meeting people, culture, traditional celebrations, movies, and performances. After having an epic party there, I decided to share the positive energy of that magic place on the skis.”

Shyhim, as he is now fittingly instatitled, is locking in his spot as the leader of the new generation of pros, doing thing his own way and the ski is a testament to that.
