Wind and snow flurries were both factors during tonight's World Championship Big Air Finals with the ladies seemingly particularly affected by some unpredictable speed. Some riders managed to send the jump all the way to the bottom, while others barely made the knuckle. But the majority threw down in another solid Big Air showing and two riders who haven't had things their way lately took the respective World Championship Golds. Here's what went down and the majority of the runs, with some, unfortunately, missing because of technical issues.

Run 1:
Finn Bilous started things off at the top of the leaderboard with a huge switch triple 'flat' 14 safety for 91.00. ABM then stomped a triple 12 safety to narrowly pip him with 91.25 (proper corks too). Henrik took a first run lead with his trademark switch triple flat 14 uncrossed mute for 92.25 with Fabian Boesch fourth after run one courtesy of a dub 16 tail (90.00).

Run 2:
Oystein nailed what looked like a perfect sw dub 14 tail to tail but only scored 89.00 and he didn't look particularly happy. Finn Bilous then sent a huge right triple 14 safety to the moon in true big air style for 88.75. ABM backed up a great first run score with a switch triple 14 bow and arrow for 92.00. A Hall opted to throw a dub 16 tail as his second trick but only scored an 89.75 for it limiting his podium chances. Fabian Boesch then raised the roof with a huge triple 16 safety to opposite tail (96.00) to take a commanding lead, with Henrik crashing.

Run 3:
Alex Hall was the first to improve in run three, sending his switch dub 14 seatbelt tail to the bottom and go third, bumping Finn Bilous out of a podium spot. Henrik Harlaut stomped the first dub 16 tail I've seen him do to immediately do the same to Alex and go second. But his failure to go first meant that Fabian Boesch took home a gold medal that will surely help soothe the pain of missing finals at X Games.

Women
Run 1:
Sarah Hoefflin was the first to put a score in the 90s with a switch right 10 high mute. Tess Ledeux immediately answered with a perfect left dub 12 mute, scoring a huge 94.5. Julia Krass also put in a solid showing, setting her up well for later runs.

Run 2:
Several of the women, including Mathilde Gremaud and first place qualifier Anastasia Tatalina, were struggling with speed and crashed both of their first two runs. Isabel Atkin put down a clean right 9 tail for 81.75. Sarah Hoefflin found a lot of speed from somewhere, sending a misty 7 mute attempt way down the landing and exploding on impact. Tess Ledeux backed up her huge first score with a solid switch 10 to open up a huge lead.
Run 3:
Julia Krass cleaned up her switch right 10 safety to back up a solid first run score and go provisionally second with an 85.00. Isabel Atkin put down a switch right 10 mute to go third with an 87.25. Sarah Hoefflin played it safe with a right misty 7 mute and narrowly missed third place, before Tess Ledeux made it three out of three, and world championship gold, with an improved switch left 10 for 90 points.
