On the plus side, Europe has pretty much had more snow already it did for all of last season. You can thank @Twig for taking a month-long surf trip for that guys. But ironically, given that this is a snowsport, it hasn't been an ideal start for FIS. With finals canceled at the city Big Air in Chur and digging out a couple of glaciers in Solden and Zermatt, only to have all the races canceled due to too much snow, they probably would have liked a win in Stubai. The forecast looked decent, until a few days before the event, when it suddenly didn't.

As a result, qualifying was bumped forward a day to Thursday, and saw a great performance from young Ruby Star Andrews, making it through to finals in third place. Anni Karava also made it through finals, so perhaps style isn't totally dead... or at least it's still turning in its grave. Rell Harwood squeaked through in the last spot too, and there's plenty to come from her, she kills it.

On the Men's side, Evan McEachran made it through in top spot, with Mac and AHall rounding out the top three. Good places to be in the circumstances. Matej Svancer also narrowly made finals, impressive given that his training regime likely consists of Instagram clips and an all-skittles diet.

Finals were therefore rescheduled for today, with the originally scheduled Saturday date provisionally left as a backup plan should the weather not allow for competition on the previous day. Unsurprisingly, with 70-100kmh winds and 2-4ft of snow in the forecast, they ultimately got canceled, leaving the semi-final result to stand.

P.S. @FIS... 16 Men and 8 Women in 'finals'. If you ever make it that far, that's STILL not a good look...
