2 edits with the most upvotes of all-time, industry leaks #dramaintheindustry, 2 future Superunknown winners, Henrik Harlaut's edit lost to time (re: servers DELETED), and a few surprises in there too for good measures. 2015 really delivered on the banger edits all year long and it's hard to believe that was 10 years ago already. Am I the only one who feels like time has flown by too damn fast?
1. Fall in Dollo - Henrik Harlaut & Inspired Media
I would embed this banger edit but it's been deleted from all known sources because one of NS' old parent companies, TEN, shutdown their servers hosting several great edits including this one with 0 heads-up. I'd chalk this great loss of edits up there with the Great Vimeo Purge from a few years ago; a modern day Burning of the Library of Alexandria. Iberg, Henrik, or any one who may have downloaded this edit before it was deleted, please re-upload it to YouTube or Newschoolers.
2. Leaks Of The Industry: Episode 1 The GoeppDawg - The Hood Crew
Half shitpost, half callout, this edit featuring Nick Goepper before his current rebrand was an out of nowhere edit from The Hoodcrew full of their usual antics: partying & skiing set to a Thizzler classic.
3. First Grade - Jonah Williams
Released the Fall after his victory at Level 1's Superunknown XII, Jonah recapped his stellar year with his best tricks and good vibes that he's still synonymous with 10 years later.
4. Water - Keegan Kilbride
A summer at Hood is a summer well spent and Keegan's "Water" edit was one that kickstarted his 2015/2016 campaign in style. That following spring he would go on to win Superunknown XIII and fulfill the comment prophecy.
5. One of those Mineral laps - Isaac Freeland
Sure, it played off the Candide Thovex edits of the same name but it doesn't mean it can't stand on it's own. Isaac Freeland & Jonnie Merrill had an absolute day at Snowbird sending some of the biggest cliffs/natural features in Snowbird's Mineral Basin and blew the minds of every viewer that tuned in. Safe to say, there's something in the Little Cottonwood Canyon water giving these guys bulletproof knees.
6. Outside the Box Extended Cut - Evan Furbeyre
Evandude, of Pork Frat fame, was one helluva unique skier who did a ton of funky tricks in all of his edits. Mashed together for a Saga Outerwear (RIP) contest and finished off with some extra bangers from his personal archive of clips, Evan showed how out of the box his tricks & ski mindset were.
7. Tabidaque - Noah Albaladejo and Magnus Graner
A lesson in style from 2 of skiing's illest. Yes, there were a fuck ton of hand drags/grabs on rails but don't let that distract you from some of the nutty skiing Noah & Magnus put down.
8. DEADKIND - Simple.
You already know this edit and if you don't I am honestly jealous that you get to watch it for the first time. NS' collective mind was sent into a tailspin when this edit dropped. Jake Carney sent a switch 7 to the Whistler Blackcomb parking lot and the rest is history.
9. One of Those Days 2 - Candide Thovex
Another edit you've all seen time and time again. An edit that needs no introduction. Candide, a GoPro, and some of the best skiing we'll ever see...part 2.
10. September Savagery - Boo Strachan
The highest rated edit of 2015 came after Boo's callout of Steve Stepp to play a game of SKATE. He continued his rail rampage of Summit County when he released this September edit from Woodward Copper's rail yard.
