Thursday April, 2nd will see the start of the Swedish Open in which three places are on offer to the best competitors for the prestigious Jon Olsson Invitational. Swedish Open is open to anyone and the competition format is slopestyle. Last year’s competition was a great success, and this is promising to be a thrilling day with impressing jumps. This may also be an opportunity for a breakthrough for a new Jon Olsson.

The world’s elite is now gathered on site in Åre; Jon Olsson has once again invited his mates – some of the best freeride skiers in the world, to take part in Jon Olsson Super Sessions and Jon Olsson Invitational. Among the participants in Swedish Open, the three best riders are invited to compete against their idols in Jon Olsson Invitational.

-I’m really stoked to offer the spectators in Åre some cool new tricks and also the upcoming stars the unique chance of making it to the JOI, a competition with great ‘cred’ all over the world, says Jon Olsson.

Swedish Open takes part in the park in Bräcke, with qualification heats from 09.00 and the final later on the same day. On Friday 3 April at 19.00, it is time for this year’s edition of the spectator favourite Jon Olsson Invitational in Åre’s World Ski Championships arena.
