Patches of precipitation will affect all areas from time to time, typically setting in for an hour or two at a time; probably most widespread over and east of the Cairngorms. Sleet or snow will fall above 500-750m (some variation), but probably only lying above 800-950m.

At 900m: 0 or 1C, but will feel as cold as –14C directly in wind

Freezing level: 850 to 1000m.

Spells of rain, or above about 700m, snow will probably move away northwards in the morning, leaving just a few showers.

Freezing level: 900 to 1050m.
