Damn, I wish I could get off of work for opening day at Breckenridge this Friday. They’ve got a lot going on and it definitely sounds like a good time.  Like any good party host, they know you can win people over with free food, so that’s what’s on the menu to start the day.  Specifically BreckBerry French Toast (no I did not just make that up).  The first 1,000 skiers and boarders at 8:30am at the new Ski Hill Grill get free servings of this new signature “dish”.

I’m also pretty intrigued to check out the new Breckenridge Gold Runner Coaster.  It’s like a year round alpine slide.  I don’t mean to brag, but I became a bit of an alpine slide connoisseur over the summer (no big deal) and this one looks pretty sweet. I’m not sure how long the ones I rode this summer were, but 2,500 feet of track sounds like a pretty good ride.

And finally, they’re going to kick off the Aprés Ski Party at 2:30 at Peak 8′s T-bar with DJ’s, give aways, a “Buddy Beers” promo (read cheap beers) and free menu samplings (again with the free food, well played Breck) from 2:30-3:30.

Oh, and parking is free all weekend. Nice.
