As some people have noticed, NS has had a few hickups this year.  We've seen massive growth over last year, and some of our systems are not dealing well with the steep increase in traffic.

One such system is the Blogs and CultNews system.  The queries used to build lists of Blogs and News were not fully optimized, and during busy periods would run too slowly. So slowly in fact that the next cycle would start before the previous refresh ended. Causing the first one to take longer, and initiating an endless queue of refreshes which would eventually overload our servers. :(

I have just launched some updates to fix this issue, and speed up Blogs and Cult News across the site.
