Earlier today, both Black Diamonds' snow account and the official PIEPS Instagram made announcements that they are starting a "voluntary product correction program" in Europe, Pacific Asia, and Latin America effective today, March 3rd, 2021. As for North American, plans are in place, and steps are being taken to set up a product recall for PIEPS DSP avalanche transceivers. This is on top of the work they are doing alongside the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada to ensure the safety of their users.
