After many months of speculation, starting with the purchase of Intrawest and Mammoth by an Aspen/KSL partnership, the new competitor to Vail Resort's Epic Pass has finally been announced. The Ikon pass includes 12 destinations owned by Alterra Mountain Company and 11 other premier destinations, including many of the most iconic mountains in North America. The fine details of the pass have yet to be fleshed out, but their site suggests that at least one of the passes offered will be for unlimited or near-unlimited access to all the resorts below.

California: Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, Mammoth Mountain, June Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resort
Colorado: Aspen/Snowmass, Steamboat, Winter Park Resort, Copper Mountain, Eldora Mountain Resort
Maine: Sugarloaf, Sunday River
Montana: Big Sky Resort
New Hampshire: Loon Mountain Resort
Utah: Deer Valley Resort, Alta Ski Area, Snowbird
Vermont: Stratton, Killington Resort
West Virginia: Snowshoe
Wyoming: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Ontario, Canada: Blue Mountain
Quebec, Canada: Tremblant
