After a ton of great entries, we have selected our winners for the APS Best Action Shot Photo Contest! We had so many great images making it tough to narrow down the top 3 positions. Congratulations! And thank you to all who entered!1st Place: Brano Polacek"On the picture is Brano Mrvan, one of the best Slovak skater on trip to Vienna, Austria. This photo was just warm up, but that day it was probably the most photo from trip.Shot with Nikon D300s, 18 -135mm zoom from Nikon, my worst lens 2 strobes Yongnuo Yongnuo 460 right from me 1/4 Yongnuo 460 left from me 1/8. Triggered by Blazzeo." 2nd Place: Ivan Maslarov "Shot on one of the few sunny London days this summer. This wall ride from Alex Turner was a long and fiddly but rewarding experience of fitting few light sources and photographer in the tight wall pocket." 3rd Place: Garrett Harmsen"Road Rash Roof was shot during a day of climbing at Highwire Crag at Clear Creek Canyon, CO. One of the guys I was with, Tyler Fox, was working this super aesthetic roof (Road Rash Roof 5.12a) and I couldn't really capture how impressive it was from the ground, so I quickly led up the route next to it, set up on a ledge and snapped a couple shots from above and was pumped with how I could get the road in the background. My one regret with the shot is the afternoon shade on the climber, I'll probably be heading back up there soon to get it with morning light."
