A storm is set to hit Colorado late on Sunday night and continue to cover the state through Tuesday. The snow is expected to begin in the San Juans and then spread to the rest of the state when the work week begins. A bulk of the snowfall will hit Southwest Colorado and Eastern Utah.
Total New Snow (in inches) expected through Tuesday, November 17th at 11am MST. Source: NOAA.
Colorado certainly has yet to suffer with snowfall this season, Arapahoe Basin currently has a 16% above-average snowpack, as are many of the areas along the i-70 corridor.
But where should you be skiing? Open Snow meteorologist Joel Gratz reports,"The southwest mountains should see the best powder on Monday afternoon, and central and northern areas (as well as perhaps the north side of the San Juans) will be favored for powder on Tuesday."
