I agree with Mr. Berard. This video is worth the watch.

I really enjoyed this Christmas wish list. My wish list is as follows:
Rogge?s Christmas Wish...
G.N.A.R. is a film every skier and snowboarder must see. The Stoked Bro Monthly staff and I watched it last week at Solitude and the remainder of the week was filled with call outs of ?I?m better than you?, general mayhem, and fun. Thanks Shane.
Another day in the office. Solitude, Utah. Photo: Mike Rogge
We shipped the last pages of the February issue on Friday evening. And with that, my first volume as associate editor has come to a close and we?re off to Utah for a week of edit conference (skiing, talking about skiing, and cocktails). Hurray Winter!

Voice: L.J. Strenio
I?ve known L.J. for quite some time and he was over due for some coverage in a magazine. Combined with Erik Seo?s shots, this is one of my favorite pieces that made the magazine this volume.

Bike - $30 at garage sale.
iPhone - eh, the ?priceless? is too cliche. I had a great morning bike ride along the Pacific this morning.
TNF in Banff
The North Face was kind enough to invite me to their Athlete Summit in Banff two weeks ago to give a social media presentation to their athletes. My presentation was equal parts Facebook and Twitter introductions and proper social media etiquette (in short, if you wouldn?t say it face-to-face to a friend, don?t post it online). Banff was beautiful, The North Face took great care of us, I got to see inside their operation and meet some of the people that make the company tick. Far and away what impressed me most was how socially responsible and active their brand is in charities. Unlike other brands that deem it necessary to produce good PR by donating to charities, The North Face encourages people to get outside, have fun, and explore the world through fun programs in their community and around the world. As the video produced by TGR above demonstrates, it?s going to be great having TNF involved on the park, pipe, and urban side of skiing.
Meteor Shower by AllStar
AllStar has been gearing up for the big release of White Noise on iTunes in a few weeks. I was sent the final copy of the album early last week and let me say, it?s going to change the way you think and listen to hip hop. His control and use of the English language is unmatched. Here?s a sneak peak and a leak of one of the tracks.
Strawberry Fields Forever
Last week I spent a few days in Manhattan and Brooklyn on business and also met with some good friends that live in or just outside of New York City. Growing up, my family visited the city every couple of years for Mets games, trips to Ellis Island, or simply to just walk around as tourists do. Only in my last few visits have I truly appreciated how many remarkable and vibrant places there are in the Big Apple. Strawberry Fields is just one of them.
The memorial for John Lennon in Central Park is a simple circle in the sidewalk with the word, ?Imagine? in the center. I visited this place once before and in a rushed tourist fashion, took a quick picture for Facebook and went onto the next attraction. On Wednesday, however, I found an open nearby bench and sat down to take it all in. Happy tourists bundled in their jackets strolled into Strawberry Fields with their cameras ready. On-the-go New Yorkers sped by, casting a quick respectful glance towards the center of the circle. But what really struck me were the many that stopped and after a short moment of silence, turned to a complete stranger and told stories. They discussed the first time they heard The Beatles, Yoko Ono?s role in the band?s breakup, or how unfair it is that Lennon isn?t around today. And as I sat there, I thought about how many lives, including my own, John Lennon?s music influenced and how this is only one spot in a city filled with life-shaping culture. Then I snapped this quick photo, put on my headphones, and listened to Rubber Soul on my walk back to the hotel.
Underground hip hop radio shows are pretty interesting. Tonight, I got a text from AllStar saying...
