Some of our team athletes have been out west competing in some comps. Devin Logan, Justin Morgan were in the Dew Tour stop at Breckenridge. Devin finished 4th in women’s slope style and 5th in half pipe. Justin Morgan finished 12th in qualifiers in men’s slope style. Jack Strain was in Copper competing at the [...]
The steel was dropped, and the wedges were pushed today. I took some shots of the guys and girls in action today to give you a little preview of some of the features. There is a good mix of creative and stock features. There is your standard double kink urban rail and c boxes and [...]
So here is the plan for the gulch as of this morning. I’m all jazzed up to see how the diving board feature turns out. It is going to be a flat box that sticks out over a ledge like a diving board, with a drop to the landing. Tim and Elia will be busy [...]
It was so nice this morning I went out and took some stills before I started filming for the next C Sessions edit. I was shootin with Sully and Brian and also picking off shots from the lift. Elia was also in Gulch pushing some snow around. He is shooting for a Wednesday opening.
Prospector is now open with a total of 8 features. One of them being this brand new wooden wall ride. Check out pictures of all the features on the parks page. Nitro flats will be open as soon as Tim finishes grooming it. C Sessions #2 is up also. Check it.
Starting tomorrow Nitro and Titanium will be closed until Friday. The park crew will be in there pushing snow around for three days, trying to get it ready to open on Friday with full size features. That means jumps. Grommet should also be open with XS features. Prospector and Junkyard should be open too, maybe [...]
Just found out that we will be opening on Thanksgiving!!! We will have top to bottom shredding open and terrain for all abilities. Gulch will be open as a park. There will be probably be thin cover at lower elevations. If we can’t get enough cover on lower Long John and Beaver Hill to connect [...]
SNOW MAKING IS PLANNED TO START AT 7 A.M. TOMORROW. It’s going to start at the summit and work its way down as the temperature drops. The plan is to make as much snow as possible on Mineshaft, Gulch and Grommet. We will definitely maybe be open on Thanksgiving, as soon as I know the [...]
The features are getting pulled today and they won’t be back. When snow making resumes the new concentration is to get the Gulch open as soon as yesterday. Let us all reflect on the good times we had by posting links to your edits and photos either here or on the Carinthia Facebook.
Here is what Launch Pad looked like at 3:30 on Friday. The features aren’t being taken down and it will not be closed. If you plan on coming through tomorrow I think you should bring a shovel.
I think tomorrow might be the last day, but I have been wrong before. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
So after losing some snow it was time to give Launch Pad a make over. The two features that were up top and the skullcandy are gone. The feature that was second on the skier’s right was extended, the pole jam and dance floor are now flat. Everything else is the same. The guys in [...]
So I was up at the summit shoot photos of the guns blowing snow and when I got back down I found out that the park crew decided to break out the jibs on Launch Pad. Totally unexpected, and totally worth it. There were 9 features including our brand new Skullcandy giant boom box which [...]
