Replying to The Influence of LINE
Thesis: The recent emphasis on style (some might call it a 'style revolution') is based mainly upon the ideals and influence of Line and its riders.
And I back it up- Line's been talking style ever since Lev made his first pair of skiboards. Line's put boards on some of the styliest skiers out there and consistently backed them up. Example: Eric Pollard, who is just now entering into the highest and most revered echelon of professional skiers. His style is totally refined, defined, and unique, and he's finally getting the respect he deserves for it. Tons of other riders are starting to catch on and throwing Pollard-style tricks... Phil Belanger and C.R. Johnson, just to name a few. Skogen was the original style guru, and he's still at the top of the game. Some might say that Tanner and Evan started the whole style thing... but who taught Tanner everything he knows about style? It was Skogen.
Anyway, this is pretty much to say that Line is the shit, always has been, and is definitely coming up in the world. Check out all the Line riders in advertisements and articles in the latest Freeze- Pollard, Skogen, Mike Nick, Mike Laroche, Mike Wilson, Jon Kozody, Dash Longe... just to name a few.
What with ever-expanding ideas and products, Line is sure to be a major competitor on the market in the next few years. Word to that.
