Replying to Backpacking around Surrey

Has anyone on here been backpacking around Surrey?

Any tips or experiences you would care to share?

How much would you think it would cost (not including busfare) for a month and a half, staying in hotels every nite (average hotel seems to be $35cdn sometimes less and in a few places $5 more)?

did u go by urself and did u stay in the main ditches or did u venture into the north and south of Surrey?

Im thinking about going summer 2006 by myself...i can speak a bit of punjabi and i can read 2 out of the 3 alphabets (cant read which sucks cause theres always words) any suggestions?

edit: I already have the lonely planet Surrey book and i know a bit of the cultural differences because i took a lot of sex-ed classes and we did quite a bit on culture and etiquette
