i was just wondering if any of you have been to/are from the Big Powderhorn area in the UP. i went there 2 years ago with a school trip and i thought it was an awesome mountain, but wasn't very impressed with their park. no rails (then) and no big hits or anything, but fun anyway.

I live right by it. If there is a lot of snow it's not bad at all, but if there is no snow it's kind of gay. park is a joke and it's kind of ritzy. Indianhead is right down the road and they have a decent park.

Just go to Indian Head, or Mount. Zion
I'm on the inside, don't worry about it.

I am a sam and work at Mt Zion and ski there. We have a park now. Not much there but we can build jumps ourselves and hit them. Come ride, we'll have a rail or two and some sort of booter. And if we get snow there are tree runs that are pretty damn steep.

Hey dide, dont listen to these douches, powderhorn is sweet, my family has a chalet there, and we ski there all the time. it kicks the hell outa indianhead, cuz indianheads lodge is at the top, so at the end of the day, if u are hanging at the lodge at the bottom of the hill, you have to go back up, not to mention ou cant take the risk of taking 1 last run. powderhorn is great, they just opened up a great new terrain park, now they have 3, plus if you look hard enough you can find great woods skiing all over the hill, we even found a cliff but i wont say where.

Powderhorn isnt terrible, but Indianhead has a better park and is better overall in my mind.

Riding powderhorn on a day where they get fresh snow is real nice. The staff there is so lazy they dont bother to groom so you get some nice soft snow thats nice for tryin so new tricks in their only good tp. I think indian head is pretty lame and id skip both and go to marquette mt.
