Ok i dont know how many of you care but this would be the coolest thing for some of us down in the springs and its always been a big dream of some people in the springs...but a few years ago a entreprenuear(what ever the correct spelling is)named Harvey Carter was trying to get enough to start building this ski area...and the catch was buying a 40 dollar stock and getting 25,000 ppl to do this...and this guy is so hardcore he was willing to go out in the woods by himself with a chainsaw and start hacking....now im not really sure on this current status of this project but im gonna get in contact with him...and ill update it here...but any help would be so awesome for an amazing dream like this to happen...thanx...

The Broadmore used to have a ski area just out its back door.
I skied there once when I was like 10 and my parents bought me my first pair of skis. Faint memories of it being kind of cool.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to start a ski area? Silverton is like the only new ski area in the U.S. in the last 20 years and it still has mongo regualtion with the forest sercive
powder.....

I don' think it will happen. The main problem with the Peak was the erratic snow holding conditions. I'd like to see it but uh don't hold your breath,

Looking to open next November. It will be open to anyone. It will be almost
entirely a park.
