What do you mean when you say el nino? When I here el nino I think of warm winters, how can that be good? I'm guessing you peeps are over on the East coast and that el nino is good for you right? Cause over here in the west el nino isn't good :(

umm maybe pacific NW el nino isn't good, or in colorado (but what winter is good there???), but in california, el nino means 7 or 8 hundred inches. and squaw and mammoth and alpine open into july. even socal at big bear, they got like over 300 inches last time around. san fran got 47 inches of rain; 2nd wettest year in the past 150.

fuck you.. and by the way, every el nino flow has little flucuations (sp). theyre thinking that this el nino might be better than the last one for CO.

yeah, im not the only one who can smell autumn coming, everyone i know loves the summer and spring when all the snow melts, how depressing is that, personally gray skies and 2 feet of new fresh powder make me happy, mmm, soft fresh powder

Yah...el nino is good for the west coast too. In Sunshine in banff averages 33ft of snow in a year, and in 98 they had 43 feet. So hopefully....it'll just be rediculous. Last year in fernie was sick...i couldn't imagine better then that. Nearly 1200cm fell. That's 36ft.
Can't wait.

i'm just waiting for the first day I get snowed in at kirkwood and the roads stay closed until 3 so no one except the people who stay in the valley get freshies. all day. because when you only have 200 or so people and not all of them are good skiiers, there's plenty to go around. I hope it's a huge winter everywhere in case I feel like travelling. (i'm selfish). i just wish i were in new zealand right now so i wouldn't have to wait a couple months to get my skis back on.
