Alright I really didnt get that much new information out of the park guy at the bird but he was helpful and sent me an email back so just letting all of you know what he told me, here goes:
Eric,
Here's the skinny on park and pipe this year: We're almost done with our
in-ground Superpipe that will be 345' long, 50' wide with 16-18' walls.
Our plan is to get the pipe in the ground earlier but we've run into a snag with
getting the cutter. We want the very latest technology in cutters but we're not
sure we'll have the new model by opening day so we're getting something to do
the job in the meantime.
In the park we're building new rails as I type and adding a smooth, hard plastic
surface that was tested last fall in our Tram Jib to the boxes. This will be a
better surface that straight steel.
I've CC'd our park and pipe guy on this e-mail, he may choose to fill in some
info I've left out. Last year we intentionally scaled back the size of some of
our jumps. You won't see the monster big jumps here this winter either - it's a
liability issue we can't get around.
Dave
