it's hard for some girls to get respect. from anybody. i'm not a girl, but at my mountain, the grand total of maybe 5 girls that ski the park and pipe get no respect, even from their friends. they get cut off and just kinda pushed out all the time. if they ever get pissed, it's gonna be scary.

my sister has a problem finding guys that will push her to ski better. I;ve got her sliding rails when i ski with her, but usually the nerds she skis with just go down the trails and get a big kick out of being able to stop.

i think all us penis clad park punks need to start inviting gurls out to the hill. lets face it. ridin with your boys is a good time. but wouldnt it be nice to see some more boobs. i think so. especially if those boobs would just go over the damn jump, then they;d be awesome boobs. i think some of the gurls at sundown had a good time this year. we saw a few of them slidin rails and hitting the booter. but untill they start getting their friends out on snow, it's going to be up to us to say, hey, you know what, stop being a lame gurl at the gap and come play in the snow. and when they say they might feel bad for holding you back cause they suck, instead of saying, yea, youre proabably right, we should say we like to cruise around now and again, and it would be more rad if they were they cruisin around with you.

so ladies, this part is up to you. we;re in the off season, sell your shit to your best lookin gurls and buy new stuff so you can step it up. dont be lame, dont be scared, just get your friends up to the hill so we can chase them around

i've got a friend whose going to be doing some competing next year, Im trying to get more girls into the sport, but they just don't care about it/

I have a feeling that you are going to see alot more girls out in comps this upcoming season. If you go to some of the bigger comps at Mount Snow, like the Hucker and the Grail, you will see girls in those comps. More girls from the east are going to be heading out west for comps like the US Open and such. I already know that this year I am heading out for the X-qualies to try and get a girl's slopestyle in the X-Games. So if you are a girl and are halfway decent at skiing, you should deff head out the the X-qualies so we can get enough girls to compete. You shoudl also check out the US Open.

this seems like an age old problem with action sports in general. girls, answer me this. why aren't there more girls in this world who are into doing something. anything really, I mean, seems to me that girls goin through high school only want to look good for boys, and then when they get to a certain age, only want to get drunk and have sex. dont get me wrong, all good things, but come on, get a fucking life.
Whats it going to take this winter to increase female participation? Let us guys know so we can help. If it means being more inviting, nicer, more patient or less. let us know. As awesome as it is to rip it up with the homies, sometimes i'd be nice to take a few runs with a chick.

There are alot of answers to that. I myself am a highschool girl, who attends an all-girls school so I know alot about this stuff.
-For alot of girls, they are not confident enough to get out there and be in a male-dominated sport, for the fear of rejection, even though that most guys would be totally excepting of any girl that had enough balls to ski and try to keep up with them.
-Most girls know the risk of pain in skiing, and they do not want to get scratched up, etc.
-Some girls are taught that doing more of the 'extreme sports' as they would call it, are socially inacceptable for women, and they should be doing more 'lady-like' things. This is a big problem in my school.
-Alot of girls aren't attracted to this kind of thing. They would rather be partying, shopping, or anything of that sort.
-Most girls are more fearful than guys, and they think things through alot before doing shit.

Guys, when you find those special girls who are willing and confident enough to rip it up out there, make sure you take them in and are very accepting to them, otherwise it will go nowhere. Show some girls you know ski videos, and ask them if they would like to do that. If they say no, there probably isn't much you can do, except keep encouraging them to do something worthy of their life, rather than just partying and attracting boys as fluff said.
