HALFPIPE?!?! in or around ottawa? is this why fortune is building the pipe? sickness. some people better come from around to hit this, pipe is rare around here, and a good pipe comp is even more rare(except tremblant, but they are crazy bastards).

thing is, we better have a long time to practice, because if anyone is like me, ive barely had the chance to ride pipe, ever.
now that we have one, i hope it will be in good enough condition to use constantly, because im gonna have to practice constantly in order to think about entering the orage comp...

yes nick, yes you can. they have it at the very bottom of the bunny hill hahaha. it's definately only a 5 minute hike and it's probably even a lot faster then their slow ass chairlifts.

dont even worry about it. Fortune's pipe is soooo haggard, a competition would be impractical. It's over-vert for like half of it. not to mention the yetis and man-eating craters.

It's official, the 2004 Huck N Chuck Pipe Comp is set for Sun. Mar. 14 at Fortune. Should have a press release on the news page shortly. We plan on doing some major work with the groomer to get the thing in shape before the event, don't worry. Just cross your fingers for the weather!

can anyone even like ride pipe, well if you want to call that a pipe, im sorry mike but i dont think this is a good idea at all, the pipe sucks and the weather is just horriable, i would have went with a big air over a pipe anyday, you can easly make a huge jump with all that wasted pipe snow...... i know its been done and all but it was the best comp i have ever been to so theres no reason to turn it into a pipe where no one can do anything and they have to ride a little peice of shit wanabe pipe.......

im out gonna be at fernie... and anywas you hsould definitly have a jump or even like a rail comp with the c and kink and flat bar set up real smooth, that would be fun. or a big air that would be sweet, even though i cant come.

The pipe just needs to be shaped properly and a bigger starter would make the pipe pretty nice, I've seen people doing 540's, flairs and a bunch of other stuff, so you can do tricks in the pipe as is.

yo mikee when are you reachin fernie? I'm goin out there for the 12th to 19th, I have 179 fujatives, white pants and a grey oakley puffy, look out for me! neways, was at fortune tonight, and I know we all thought it wasn't possible, but the pipe has actually gotten worse! the left and and lower right sides, which were good on weekend, are now flat-to-vert, and over vert respectivly. I went for a alleyoop 180 of the left hand wall and landed pretty much in the middle of the pipe. I'm thinkin we should make a jump out of the start ramp and have a comp on that. sigh.....
