Alpine Meadows/Tahoe Conditions

Hey guys. I'm gonna be in Lake Tahoe from the 15th to 22nd. I'm staying very close to the Nevada side of Heavenly.
I did this last year too and went to Kirkwood, Heavenly and Squaw. But I was just looking at the Alpine Meadows trail map, and that place looks really awesome.
Anyone wanna tell me what they think of Alpine? The mountain looks awesome as does the park. I know I'll be at Heavenly and Kirkwood, but I would like to go to Squaw or Alpine too. And since I've been to Squaw, I was wondering if Alpine is as good as it looks. Thanks.

I like Alpine. It is nice to hit on weekends, because it usually does not get as crowded as Squaw which is right next door. However, with their new $39 lift tickets, they have been getting a lot more volume.
If you have not hit Alpine it is definitely worth it.

Alright cool. I know I'll be at Heavenly 3 or 4 of the days. I'd like to go to Alpine and back to Kirkwood.

go to alpine if you can for sure, its not as gapperish as squaw. i've skied there for 13 years, its a pretty good mtn, not as big as squaw, but has alot of nice runs.

^Yeah, alpine has terrain to rival Squaw's, it just isn't punching you right in the face like it is at Squaw. Find someone who knows where they're going and ride with them, Alpine can be a great time, especially after a storm, but be ready to hike. Also, check the park, it's really good and LIFT ACCESSED!

sounds good. My plane leaves today, so I'll be in Reno tonight. I'll be at Alpine tomorrow (Monday) If anyone is gonna be there, I'll have a blue jacket and 03 mad trix. I'll be staying around Heavenly, so skiing there tuesday/wednesday, and prolly friday, definately saturday. Kirkwood on thursday. Later! Thanks for the info.
