Just checked out the site - and props to te creators of it, it looks good...
But who is this site aimed at?
People who are new to skiing/snowboarding (a guide of what to wear)
If it is aimed at the local park user groups, is there an actual 'rider' involved to make sure that it doesn't get too gay? So far it looks very 'Intrawest Sanctioned' and tightly controlled.
Also, why is Mike Douglas the only jibber on the team? The other skiers are purely big mountain or racers - and they are all quite old. That isn't a very good representaion of the local talent pool. There is insane young skiing talent. I totally understand the Turpin situation (!) but why no park skier as a replacement.
The site looks geared toward a park user, and MD is the only athlete they can really relate to. And he isn't even in there all that much.
Again - it just looks very much controlled by Intrawest.
It is an awesome concept and could be sick. But if it stays as souless and generic as it is now, I don't feel that it will reach its full potential.
Just my 2 cents.
