Landed on a rock and this happened, anyone fixed something like this before? I’m worried bc I skied down before I noticed anything so there might be issues with water damage to the core? Are these saveable or should I just get a new pair with all this sale stuff. The shop was really confused when I came in so that’s why I’m asking you guys.
oldmanskiLet it dry out for a few days, Ptex it, base grind, some new wax, sharpen the edges with a grinder, should be good for another season!
Vibes for a speedy recovery. Hope it is just a flesh wound that some stitches can fix.
This actually happened back in January, I was just bored at work and thought this might get a giggle - was back on the booze 2 days later and back on skis like two weeks later. Only 10 stiches and now I have a sick scar!
G/flex® 650 is a toughened, versatile, liquid epoxy for permanent waterproof bonding of fiberglass, ceramics, metals, plastics, and damp and difficult-to-bond woods. It is a bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. This gives it the ability to make structural bonds that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. It is ideal for bonding dissimilar materials.

Story time! Day 3 of storm cycle at Alta, foot and some change of blower, keyhole is finally a go. Eying sneaky line at the bottom I liked last year (clearly wasn’t in this year), came in mach Jesus, popped off first air, landed and went thru all the snow str8 to rock, sorta washed out on the rocks and fell on my side and just got got super good by a sharp rock. Pissed my snow pants ripped and it looked like I had a cut. Got some really good turns down to the bus stop to get back to Alta and my buddies were like ur gonna want to put pressure on that lol. Got a vip ride from my buddy in the gmd van and got dropped off at the clinic, shoutout Alta clinic they got me dialed, was never in serious pain at any point and so so glad it wasn’t worse than it was.
