Non_State_ActorThis sounds like more than an edge tune issue? The way you described the locked in feeling and also the squirrel-iness when running bases flat leads me to believe that the base grind is off. Check with a straight Edge and report back.
IsaacNW82yea re-reading this, having flat tips and tails with convex underfoot probably skis like a mess. I would try to re-grind them flat (if you have enough material left)
SmokedGoudaOne of their main techs also said the edge detuning in the tips was uneven. Said originally that the convex helps in spring… then backtracked saying flat bases would work best and that parts of the camber weren't making contact when edge sharpening.
