SF110or QST Blank

Sender Free 110, and consider going with a CAST set-up. The SF rips with a proper alpine binding. Get the Longest Length available.

I had the QST Blank (186, mounted +2.5cm) for two seasons (got them right after launch) and have since switched to the Sender Free 110 (Cant remember where I mounted these...).

The SF 110 is better in virtually every way. It holds a better edge without giving up the ability to pivot in the trees or moguls. It has a little more energy ( I found the Blank to be quite damp), though the metal in the SF 110 detracts from that "pop"... possibly more than I would like... Sort of a love-hate relationship there: the metal takes some fun away, but the stability gained through sketchy terrain has definitely saved my ass.

All that said, the QST Blank with a Shift 2.0 would be a solid set-up too

Thanks for comparison. I think i am leaning towards the SF110 with shift 2.0. What that be a solid option? Or should i look towards Cast pivot or duke?

Never skied with shift 2.0, but skied a lot with shift 1.0. While most of the time they were trouble free, this year I released too strangely -on a slope double eject from heels during a perfect arc. I bet its very rare story with pivots

i found shift 1.0 to be unreliable. Shift 2.0 has no major differences in build so I guess it will perform the same. So it depends on how hard you actually charge. I'd say shifts are good for 80% of folks out there

Shift 2.0 has a completely redesigned AFD which solves 99% of the issues the original Shift had
