dopesnowenjoyerAlright so next year I'm in charge of ski club at my HS and that's great and all but for the past couple years we have had barely any members. Every year the club would be closer to dying than the last, and usually would only consist of 2-3 regular members who carpool together. With that being said, any of you guys know what to do to revive the club? Had about 30 people the first meeting which was way before ski season, but dropped to about 6 people by the time the ski season started. I think that's one of the main problems, people forget about the club by the time ski season rolls around, and also during normal meetings we don't really have anything to do since the whole club currently revolves around carpooling and skiing together. Any ideas help, thanks.
yungSBtalk around with more people who want to join the ski club and raise awareness. if your school has weekly announcements see if you can put in a word with who ever runs it and ask for a promo. Had a buddy who had the same issue for a DH MTB club and after a couple months of advocating they had enough members to go on bike trips. The school provided a teacher and bus who would drive all the members to the hill after school and even shuttle them. Ask around and talk with teachers who enjoy skiing and see if they would be willing to help out, good luck :)
2YearParmesanall of the above is good advice - meet closer to ski season, maybe have a secondary meeting to show some ski movies or edits to hype the stoke, get a social media page rockin', add it to the morning announcements
