Drink a bottle of liquor. Put the empty bottle on the shelf. Drink a case of beer cut out the side of the box and tape it to your wall. College decor 101.

Pick a theme like secret agent or prohibition era dance master. Probably pick something a little more sophisticated than Jurassic park or Pirates but that may depend on the crowd you hang with

Girls typically love a man that is focused on bettering himself - this means nothing on the walls and navy sheets so you dont have to wash them. Trust.
Lighting matters more than decoration. Get a bright floor lamp and may matching desk lamp with a neutral/warm color bulb and your dorm won’t feel like a prison cell with white fluorescent overhead lights
currently have some museum maps framed, a vintage MRG poster and HV Poster both framed, Buffalo Yacht Club Framed as well. wooden oar and a flag on the other wall, with some christmas lights draped around the room. I fucks with it heavy but def not for everyone. Also get a big rug, like a nice one with a woven pattern, it makes it much homier

Lately I’ve been collecting post cards for decoration- they’re the cheapest way to own cool art. Anytime ur at a museum just grab a few that feature art from ur favorite artist and throw em in a cheap frame.
Like I got this one at the Picasso museum in Spain, and then got a cheap white frame from target and voila.
I also got this postcard with a Banksy print from MOCA, giving it to a buddy who’s really into his art. Postcard was $4, frame was like $8- $12 total for a Banksy print.
Now I’m making this collage from my trip to Spain. Using a bunch of postcards, subway tickets, a buisness card from a bar I went to, and some museum tickets. Looks sick (at least I think so) and it’s a cool way to remember the trip.
Honestly though, just keep an eye out for cheap art that you think is sick. I have old skateboard decks, a Moment skis poster, an Eric pollard print that he did for a charity event a decade ago, and even a piece of the original Line TC van up on my wall. None of it cost me more than $50- frames included. Or just collect ski posters that you get from movies- I used to have an entire wall covered in them.
And as Woflowz said- get a cool patterned rug, it’ll really tie the whole place together.

just made me realize my Martin House and Taliesin Prints and Post cards r in my room at home. What a shame
A cheap, but cool way to decorate a large wall space for very cheap is to go to a thrift store and buy a dozen vinyl albums of things no one will ever buy or want to listen to (as to not destroy actual good music as that would be sacrilege), and spray paint them your color/colors of choice. Neon colors are cool. then hang them in a grid on the wall. Other option is to not destroy the vinyl and leave them as-is black. Lastly, you could decorate alternatively with their jackets. This would create a conversation piece for whatever ones you chose. Whether they seriously represent your interests because they're artists you like, or you picked them for humor (think 80's Christian Hymns you can groove to). They also sell cheap frames that are specifically sized for album jackets.

Where’s the trophy cabinet with all your fantasy football trophies?
Blacklight tapestries off Amazon. They're cheap and look sick.
Imma be honest, mostly chicks decorated their walls, frat douches (naked chick posters everywhere), and the Merica Bros (big American flag). No one cares what's not on your walls in the room you're gonna spend 8 months in before packing up and moving to a new one.
