Heavily considering buying the Dalbello Cabrio LV 100 from evo, mostly cause they're only 160 bucks which I feel like is a steal.
Also heavily considering the Fischer nightstick 97 (as someone who primarily rides midwest park). any thoughts to encourage or discourage these things?

I have the 115 LV and like them, but I can’t say if they’ll fit you. The middle buckle is a little weird to lock but you get used to it.

I’d be cautious of buying a boot before trying them on. Boots vary heavily from person to person. I’ve always been an advocate of going somewhere to get a proper boot fitting done by someone who knows what they’re doing. As for the nightsticks, are you going to be solely riding park with them, or are you more in the market for an all mountain type ski?

Go try the boots on in person. Very important. You can’t window shop boots, skis are a different story

I had the nightsticks for a bit a few years ago and loved them. Not that durable but it’s fun to have a ski you don’t give a shit about especially for rope tow laps. I would get them used tho

OP is referring to the revamped Nightstick line, but the OG Nightstick was a great ski fs. Here's a good 97 review though.

That only works if the nearest shop to carry a full line of boots isn’t hours and hours away.

Then make a day out of it, or roll the dice n order online. Can’t tell u how many times ppl brought me boots that curated said would be perfect only for them to be painful.

I understand your sentiment. But very literally from where OP is, the nearest shop that has those boots might be 7 hours.

Better off to order and return than spend ~$120 in gas and 14 hours in a car round trip.

It’s not feasible for everyone to go try stuff on in person.

Then OP should forget about the Dalbellos that he wants, and go try on different boots at a shop that isn’t 7 hours away. 7 hours can’t be the closest store you got.


Also I’m saying try boots on, not buy them in person. It’s a sorta dick move but you can try em on and find what you like, then order online for cheaper. Some places might price match if u (politely) show em a better deal somewhere else

Evo has a really good return policy. At most, you pay up to $15 for return shipping, to me, that is just the cost of being able to try on 2 pairs and return one. I did exactly that last month with the il moro pros they had on sale for $300 (might still be up).

I had never owned Dalbellos before, and a lot of the previous comments are correct. I'm glad I ordered 2 pairs (26.5 & 27.5), ended up being a tighter fit than expected.

With that said, I really like the il moros after putting about 5 days on them so far. I agree with the middle buckle locking system being a bit funky, but as stated by previous comments, you get used to it.

What boot are you in right now? I dealt with a couple boot fitters and di things "the right way" for a while, and will do it again sometime soon but the boot I'm in right now I ordered off Evo extremely discounted and it's the best fit I've ever had out of all the boots I've tried. It's the only boot I've found that locks down my narrow ass heel.
