lootlakeIve noticed no difference, maybe its just bad luck? What parts have you broken?
tomPietrowskiUnfortunately I think it’s just bad luck. We have changed nothing in terms of construction and the boots are still made in exactly the same factory with the same tooling. But if you keep having issues please reach out to me directly and I’m happy to help.
KilaTsunamiIt's bad luck bro, the K2 factory in China must be CURSED!!!
prattI mean, I’ve had 4 issues, but at least the warranty has been great !! Thanks for the info
xblthMight be wrong but isn’t the factory in italy?
KilaTsunamiFT was Italy, K2 is China

tomPietrowskiNo K2 boots are all made in Italy. We are one of the few brands still producing boots in Italy.
KilaTsunamiWell google is saying China, might wanna fix that
tomPietrowskiThat’s correct. Dalbello and k2 overlap boots are produced in the elevate factory in Asolo and then Fl3X boots are produced down the road in the La Rocco factory.
DragonSlayer7I was listening to a Bode Miller podcast and he said the full tilt original shell uses stiffer (higher quality?) plastic than the soul shell which results in a stiffer/thicker and better performing boot.
Is there any truth to this? I know the soul shell has more toe room and adds grip walk. Maybe the original shell having a thicker sole is contributing to that? Thoughts? 🤔
tomPietrowskiNo truth at all, we use the same plastic on all lower shells. The shell walls vary slightly but really not enough to make a difference.

OhJay@tomPietrowski , I've owned and held in my hands side by side a pair of 2016 First Chair 10s, and a pair of Drop Kick Pros from the last season FT was in existence. Those 2016s FCs might have been before your time at K2, but I distinctly remember the First Chairs having a softer, thinner plastic. I'm no engineer, but they definitely felt different. I also had a pair of more recent First Chair 130s in my hands at the time but don't recall how that plastic felt.
For the record, the only issue I had with the older First Chair plastics was my heel lug getting chewed up from the binding heels, but I tried Lange RX130s soon after and had the same issue as their dual core plastic is pretty soft on the outside.

officechairSide question, wasn’t Full Tilt started by K2 and owned since the beginning?
