Voile fish scale skis with pin bindings?

Just curious if anyone on here has tried em. I live in the Midwest with small hills and the idea of not having to rip and reapply is skins is very tempting. Anyone from ontario or Quebec have thoughts or experiences with them? Paired with a dynafit speed radical binding or something similar so you don’t have to take your ski off to transition. Thanks all

I don’t have any experience to give, but I have had the same questions.

I have a few friends who've gotten on these. They're pretty fantastic for meadow skipping and low-angle stuff with frequent transitions. The fishscales are kinda weird on the down if the snows pretty hardpacked, it gets chattery.
The damper Voile's like the Ultra and Hyper Vector's don't mesh as well with the fishscales from what I've heard. Definitely planning on copping a pair as my next touring setup tho

not an expert, but my dad skis telemark on a pair, and he says he cant go backwards at all, and could probably hike up groomers with them.

Ok good to know. Not being able to ski switch ain’t a big deal, these would be for dad laps at the local hill. Just want something with no transition time, sucks putting on skins to climb a couple hundred feet

Voile fishscales and the Altai Kom are perfect for what you are looking to do. They will climb steeper than you think. The scales do buzz and are annoying on hard pack so no it for groomer use.
