Am I a curse or is this normal?

Just yesterday, not one, not two, but three of my friends got season-ending injuries, two of them with broken collarbones. Another one had serious shin-bang to the point where he couldn't walk, and another got a concussion. Does anyone else know a ton of people dropping like flies around now?

i feel your pain and hopefully you've filled your quota of shitty accidents for the season.
something similar happened to me a couple years ago. one buddy swooped in a slide (he was roughed up but basically ok), had to dig another guy out in a separate incident (he was about to pass out and was completely blue/purple when i got to him), then i broke my collarbone catching an edge at 6mph, then another homie died in an avalanche 2 days later.

yeah it is, unless you're an idiot like me and go skiing 6 weeks after the initial break, then proceed to break it again, break it much worse, and have to get surgery and a plate drilled in

This one happened last night. I jumped a ridge full send since we got a powder day in the east coast. Caught edge and both skis dug into the snow. Full tomahawk down. Did another park run thinking it was just a finger jam, but I asked ski patrol and they told me its possibly full fracture. Not a season ender but two weeks is a hard wait.

sadly i am a little over 6 months clean so that's not an option. If this happened last year I would prolly just eat bars like tic tacs until my wrist heals but that's no longer an option. I can still paint with my left hand so I've just been trying to find chill spots to paint and plan on hiking when the weather is decent
