With yet another weekend storm pounding the wasatch, speculation on the chairlift ensues.. More Ikon cloud seeding? Perhaps collateral from the folks over canyon at Vail resorts..? Weekday shredders left in shock, hoping for their time in the deep.

All capping aside, I offer a glimpse back to one mans resort dream. Wishing us all more days like this

2021-2022 was good because we had no snow until February and the New Yorkers went to Colorado instead

2022-2023 was unreal because of so many pow days especially late in the season and 2023-2024 was also gucci because of the fear of "no snow"

They’re cloud seeding on weekends to make the canyon traffic seem awful to the average Joe and make the public more accepting of the gondola.

I mean being able to ski The Bird and B-Town on a 900" season will be forever one of the most wild seasons of my life, but yeah. I miss $400 chair-only passes and free tram laps in the spring because they didn't give a fuck.

SLC Utah is the only city close to big resorts. Just drove to Kirkwood from the East Bay and it was almost 4 hours. Who the fuck can handle that day trip regularly. If it's not 2 E/W I need a hotel. Surprising it was overlooked for so long.

There's no snow my bad this is my fault I rode the lift that fell in NH earlier that morning and hopped on a plane the next day to SFO. Brought the bad vibes.

Saw the chair down shuttling back to the hotel my wife's still a couple of days away from riding it and you couldn't ski to that hotel without taking it.

Chair-only pass was honestly the best deal in skiing ever. The Tram never opens on time when there's a storm and while you wait for upper mountain mitigation, you just rip mid/lower Mtn laps until stuff opens. RIP OG Wilbere chair though.

I was optimistic but they really fucked up on that one. Made the liftline in the wrong spot to block skier traffic and uphill, so it's hard to get on. Terrain under it is cool, but they can't load it properly due to something wrong with the ramp. On top of that, the nice part of Wilbur being away from the 2 main bases was exactly that on a pow day, less traffic while you wait for Peruvian to open.

Anyone else remember when Peruvian had the same sort of park bench style chair as Wilbere? OG Peruvian was the best too
