I snapped a pair of 4frnt devastators and I might be able to inherit a pair of Weston summits. I know its supposed to be a touring ski but has anyone used them as a freeride ski?
Touring skis are a weird world. It’s a game of sacrifices to match your needs. I don’t know personally about these skis but I bet you could find a solid review either on here or elsewhere
They are definitely a lightweight ski, which will come with all the drawbacks associated with that. If you want a ski to be able to ski fast inbounds with you will be better served getting a heavier more stable ski. If you want to put a shift or something of the sort on it would make sense, but would be very different than your devastators.
Skiing variable snow on my touring skis (which are not light as far as touring skis go) is quite challenging and I have to dial back quite a bit.
