Why do people feel the need to be nannie’s about helmets on instagram. Like it ain’t affecting you bro stop being triggered cause someone isn’t wearing a helmet. They take it personal like they think the person with no helmet thinks they’re better than them or something. It’s giving vaccine vibes like “oh you don’t have a helmet don’t come near me”

it's the same reason people donate money to disease charities, they wanna have a hand in preventing traumatic brain injuries and feel like a philanthropist. And although i would prefer seeing everyone wear a helmet, i know that being a prick in the comments of a post isn't gonna change shit

i just heard about this for the first time on the lift yesterday and am genuinely confused - isn't the idea of skiing to do whatever you want, irrespective of other people's ideas? poles/no poles, baggy/tight clothes, skinny skis/fatties, 4 buckle/3 buckle/2 buckle, helmet/no helmet.. the list is endless. live your life dog!

Nah I’m not buying it. Yea every ig commenter be dontating to charities right? 😂 they’re just salty some people are ok not wearing a helmet when they’re terrified to take it off themselves.

funny how the risk tolerance completely changes up for these people when someone has a plastic dome on their head. like nikolai schirmer skiing deadly exposure at mach speed with a helmet is somehow way more chill than 5050ing a box with a beanie on.

i think most of them are gapers who get very few opportunities to talk shit on people's skiing so when they see a helmetless clip they fall all over each other trying to get likes on whatever 12 year old zinger they came up with.
