Pivvot Brakes

Been reading past threads and it seems some are running 75mm brakes on 88mm skis. What are the odds I could do 75 brakes on 95mm skis?

I know they make 95 brakes but I've been running 115 brakes on my 118s and I hook my brakes together at least once per day. Sometimes more. Cause of this, I want do downsize the brakes but idk how much is too much.

Bend it and send it? Or don't? They can be bent a lot just make sure you're comfortable with the process. You can find how to vids on youtube. Or pick a binding that has very retracting brakes?

Non_State_ActorBend it and send it? Or don't? They can be bent a lot just make sure you're comfortable with the process. You can find how to vids on youtube. Or pick a binding that has very retracting brakes?


i got 115mm brakes on my reckoner 102's and its not that bad but if they catch on the snow sometimes should i jus heat up the brakes and bend then in

I have 100s on my 88s and they always catch when I go 50-50 ( I tried zipties overnight pulling together and it didn't do much

Can it really bend that much though? Thats up a full 20mm. Does anyone have experience running 75s on skis in the 90 something mm range

It's only 1 cm on each side. I think you could bend them enough. You might need a vise and a good set of pliers

Back in the day at the dawn of freestyle/free ski type skiing with the emergence of "fat skis" which were 90, 95, 100mm they only had 75mm pivots brakes with which to work so they bent them to fit very wide skis. I'm not saying you should do this I'm saying it can and has been done commonly.
