For skis check out eBay, SidelineSwap, Geartrade, Locals Sale, and Out&Back Outdoor. I've gotten new skis from Geartrade and eBay for under $200 (Salomon NFX, Liberty Transfer, etc.). It's worth giving these sites (and a Google search) a quick check when you're looking to buy if you're not getting it from your local. Also check out the Good Deals thread on NS if you haven't been there yet.
