Is U of U actually fun outside of skiing?

Obviously the skiing that is in proximity of U of Utah is great, but is it a fun school to go to? With the liquor/ouid laws as well the social acceptance of it all in Salt Lake, is the school actually fun? Makes it tough to go there over a place like CU Boulder. I've heard the frats are decent but everything ends at midnight, and the bar scene is almost non-existent. I guess overall what I'm trying to say is that, I know the skiing will be awesome but can anyone attest to the school itself being fun?

As a U of U Alumni you got practically everything in this post wrong. If your wanting clubs that is not Utah, everyone drinks at dive bars. If you want "clubs" go to park city even though there not all that. Im assuming your under the age of 18. so go to X wives you will have a fun time.
Is school fun? depends on what you define as fun if you like night classes go do business. If you want to ski 4 days for the rest of your life go into nursing. If you want to pay less than CU boulder go to Utah.

18 turning 19 in the fall. Took a gap year to work for my uncle in Chicago and save up some money. I can get in state at Boulder so that helps. I applied early action to Aerospace at Boulder and find out Feb 1. As for Utah I applied to Civil Eng. I'm not necessarily looking for clubs just not really into the idea of solely being at dive bars for 4 years

Increasingly seeming that way I just don't really wanna stay near Denver tbh. I'll get in state there which is cool but idk if its the best option for me. On the opposite side I find out from Florida on the 24th and already got into FSU with almost a full ride. U of U comes out tomorrow so I guess ill update on that.
