I've been trying to sell several pairs of used parks skis and nobody will go near them. Example my fusions are missing some edge underfoot but besides that they have lots of life left posted for 100$ and nobody's even messaged me. Selling my 1000 skis same condition as fusions for 75$ nobody wants them.
$100 and it's missing an edge? I can buy brand new park skis for 300-400, why would I take your shit with who knows how many days on them?
I bought a set of used park skis for $50, they delamimated after 6 days. Definitely not spending $100 on them just to help fund your new skis

I have some ski socks and underwear I've used for a few seasons I'll sell you for $50 each. Lots of life left in them, only a few holes / skid marks
"Why don't you want them?"
I'll quit drinking for the night. Good luck with selling, my bad if I'm being an asshole but hopefully the point is made

there’s a lot of guys who could use some street beaters for dirt cheap
1000 skis for 75 is a banger deal bro you just gotta find the right place and community to sell them to honestly I would buy those if I didn’t have 20 dollers to my name
i think there definitely is a market, people wanting beaters for street, or in my case i've been looking for a pair for summer dry slope and backyard jibbing. Unfortunately based in italy rn and doesn't seem much for sale nearby
Lets be fr, would you pay $100 for skis with blown out edges? Then add shipping. Then add a mount. We're at $200 plus bindings, so at least a $400 setup by the time you're riding them. Nobody with that much money is going to put it into someone else's blown up leftovers. (Unless you're selling hype brands like Vs or oneps to some stupid kid who just wants the logo.)

ignoring the cost for shipping, i have a set of salomon warden bindings sitting around doing nothing, might as well whack them on a 100 quid set of skis to fuck around with, then when they've run their course, mount the perfectly fine bindings to another ski
Good luck. Used snow equipment does not seem to be moving this year. I had a super fresh pair of Ninthward RDS mounted with Attack 16s that had been ridden ~5 days. They had been listed for months and I finally got $200 for the whole set-up.
I’ve also been trying to sell several snowboards, all new or near new, in the $200-$300 range and almost no interest.
So if I can't sell but don't want to throw them away what do I do with them? If I give them to a thrift store I know they are going to mark them up for 200$ and sell instantly.

It sounds like they have more sentimental value to you, than they have market value to others.
Some options you have: Lower your asking price until they do sell. Or use them for street. Or keep them on hand if you (or a homie) ever need backups. Or go arts-and-crafts mode on them. etc.
You need to think realistic use case scenario for them things- Try to contact some hs/college kids getting into street. Thats the only audience imo that’s going to be interested enough into buying skis with blown out sections of edge.
Lowering your price to -$50 would probably move them out fast considering shipping costs/mounts/etc.
This is why I love newschoolers. Thanks for everyone's insight, so to recap ski's basically have no resale value especially if used in park. I have an idea to give them away and bless some kids at my church who love skiing but can't go because they don't have any money for rentals instead of trying to make 50$ which isn't even worth the headache.
i think it's the missing edge part. i would think dirtbag skiers are in for used skis for cheap but once edges start coming out it can be a real mess and doesn't seem worth the hassle

what skis you getting for 400 bucks bro, seriously...
last years lines, armadas???? those will last less than gilsons with a missing edge lmao.
I bought a pair of already delaminated thanos dogs for 75 bucks, skied them in my frontyard 50 times. never had a problem. Just stopped using them cause I got a diff pair of skis. missing 1 edge is not bad
You must be the type to race to buy the newest year of topsheet on the same ski design for 3 years...
One year old but still in wrapping skis are usually 40%+ off and if we are talking park skis they were only 500-700 to begin with

Yeah, what brand skis bud??
I got my skis previosly new for 450 each(misfits) and my other pairs used or discounted. interested to see what skis you are getting for that cheap used, as most good skis sell out fast, and those that dont dont cost 500 to begin with
Well lines and armada for sure like you said, I usually see older models for a bunch of brands at shops that just didn't 100% sell out.
My wife got last years nordica santa ana for 400 from a local shop, new ones are 750
Just check local shops if the online stores don't have the older models
fdWEARerYeah, what brand skis bud??

i got my blends for 369 CAD
the internet works wonders if you use that little thing called the search bar
Yeah, getting lines for that is not it. You would have to pay me more than that to ride a pair of lines. I will end up spending more time mounting my own skis than riding them, lines r terrible.
But yes, looking around many different websites and finding the best deals is how I buy my skis. I check every where. I pay like 200 for new pivot 14s, so i do use the search bar.

then give it to play it again sports if you're soooooo sure that will be the case. you get a cut of the money when it sells there.

im selling some candide 2.0s with chipping but literally nothing else for 125$ canadian, bunch of people are interested but no one actually shows up
I think the market is bad this year, poors are too poor, rich don't give a fuck to buy used shit. I've had these posted for $50 cad and have only had one dude try to see them.

I stand by my "$100 for clapped skis is ridiculous" point but you do you with your $

???? that has no relation to my post
I never said buying clapped skis for 100 was good.
but tbf a clapped pair of nice skis is outlasting those brand new factions.
I replied to your latest post bc you started the convo asking where to find $400 skis. A worn ski thats missing an edge is better than brand new skis? Maybe not the most durable of all skis out there but that's dumb

What would yall price these at, been trying to sell for a min, but have had 0 people hmu
Both mounted for 306, pretty common boots ice, both have pivot 14s
Both pairs used less than a year
Also the fatypus have 0 edge cracks
Had 1 of the pairs barely priced more than a pair of pivots new, and the pivots on the skis are in great shape so idk why no one wants them.
Only responses I've had is people offering like 100 bucks witch is unreasonable imo
I feel like mid-winter is kinda hard to sell beater skis. idk I feel like selling skis right at the end or beginning of the season is better. Also, I would pay 50-100 dollars for some fun beater rock skis
As sick as misfits are, that’s a super hard skill to ski. In business for 2 years and only people in the scene scene know them. Kind of similar problem with Fatypus. I always try include articles and reviews with my listings for those that don’t know.

Where are you selling them? I might be willing to buy those 1000s
