I'm about to graduate from college in Colorado, I have no idea what I want to do or where I want to live. All I know is that I want to keep skiing. Who can help and who can relate?
move to a large city like LA or NYC and get a corporate job that makes tons of money and go on two ski trips a year and tell all the locals about how sick you are at skiing
I feel this dude. I graduated college this last spring after a semi-long battle to complete my undergrad.
I kept the same part time job and I had been working for the last year of college and just tried to stack some bread. Quit my job two weeks ago to get ready for some traveling with my gf but then things went south and now I'm between the decision of doing some solo journeying and making some other decision.
Unless you are super attached to where you went to college / finding full time employment opportunities there right now, I think moving somewhere new and getting somewhat of a "fresh start" would be the right call.
While it might not seem like it, as long as you put in the work I feel like you can have those friends and loved ones you made during your college experience in your life no matter your living location/circumstances.
Maybe make a list of things you value and try to find somewhere to go from there.
Like part of me really wanted to be in SLC for a winter because it seems to be the Mecca for the ski scene rn, but I wasn't sure if it was the right call.
Change is just kind of a difficult thing for me in general but I'd say just fuckin let er rip , move somewhere and make best.
Maybe give us an update when you've got your little value list sorted out.
Would you be getting a job if you moved somewhere? Any type of work in mind? Or is work not a goal?
