I woulda had a hard time skiing having a blast w my partner sick. Glad you made the best of it

Weather turned out really great today. Temps were nice and crowds were still low. The sun helped soften things up a tad which made for some fun skiing. No cookies today unfortunately forgot to keep track of time so when I finally made it back down from birds of pray they were all gone. Was trying to link up the birds course but I think I made two wrong turns and ended up on stuff they don’t actually race on. Was running the deathwish 104 which was good overall for the day but was wishing I had the Countach for the birds run. Going to bring those back out tomorrow and try again.

Weather was pretty damn good today. Crowds ramped way up. Idk how schools work out here but there was a bunch of hs ski teams and I guess local clubs of kids all over the mountains today. Everywhere wearing their matching Jackets. Didn’t see any events going on but I guess it’s like group trip day or something.



busted out the Countach again today and finally got to link up birds of pray correctly. I’m by no means an expert skier so while I held my own I can only imagine what it’s like ripping down that course at full beans. That shit is no joke and I give huge props to the ladies now running the course full tilt too.

felt oddly more crowded than last Friday which I thought was weird for a non holiday weekend like last.

supposed to get some fresh tonight and tomorrow so hopefully can find a few stashes. Gonna rock the Countach again tomorrow

Well my gf was finally feeling up to getting out of the room so I gave up my final day of skiing so we could go check out vail. Smh the crowd there is wild. Reminds me of a local place called bal harbor. Everyone is just trying to show up everyone. Village was cool though. Larger than I expected. Checked out both the vail side and lionshead side.

Had a nice dinner over at beaver creek village for our last night. Fly home tomorrow at 3 so probably head out of beaver around 10. Had a great time overall ski wise. Do wish I got to hit up vail and keystone to ski but just means I need to come back asap.

had a great first trip with the moment Countach. Really happy with the ski. For a semi directional it’s still plenty playful. Will pivot to scrub speed without any issues. Held an edge really well for a 110 but floats like a beast with the 140 shovel. Super happy charging but doesn’t need to be going Mach speed to have fun. Worked really well across a wide range of conditions. Enough heft it doesn’t get pushed around in chop or crud but not too heavy that it tires your legs out. Really interested to try the 104 version. Can’t really picture buying the 104 as I feel it would have a lot of layover with dw 104 but forsure would like to try them.

bummed we couldn’t link up and listen to the notorious big’s party and bullshit together. glad the gf is feeling better. maybe she can change her vacation days to sick days at work??
