Gap from Edge to base... ??

I picked up a pair of last years Armada Declivity 88's for a good price, new from a dealer. I decided to try some of that Dynamic ghost wax for the first time. I didnt really like so I brought them home and was gonna do a normal wax with my iron.. But I noticed this gap between the edge and base. Its like 3-4 inches long and in almost the same spot of both skis. Never noticed this on any others before, but if I had hot waxed them I probably wouldn't have noticed at all and it would have gotten filled in...

Any concern with this space? Its wide enough to feel and stop my fingernail but not quite as wide as a credit card.

Could try to seal with epoxy (west systems gflex.) If you don't water will get in there and freeze causing it to separate more and potentially mess up the core or push the bases out. @PartyBullshiit how would you go about filling the gap?

I mean, they are two weeks old, if its gonna be a problem I would probably just return them.

That's a significant, serious defect. Worth addressing it with the shop for sure. They should 100% swap them out for a new pair.
