Make sure to dry out the area completely, cut out damaged edge and base, fill hole with epoxy, more or less good as new especially since the damage is just in the tip. Tons of info in prev threads if you search.

this same thing happened to my friends on3p's and he j did the apoxy thing with lots of clamps and they are fine now
